Here's How you can Stay happy at work!!!

How often do you get the Sunday evening blues? Every now and again, or every week without fail? If it’s the latter, maybe you should think about moving on… But lots of people find themselves in the situation where they’re not ready to move jobs just yet – perhaps because they’ve only been in the role a short time, or because they want to gain more experience. So if you find yourself in the situation where you’re in a job that is okay but not brilliant, or that you really need to see through for a period of time, what can you do to make it more interesting and - dare we say it – more fun?

Here are some suggestions:

Positive Thinking
Focus on the positives – what do you really like about your job (come on, there must be something)? How could you incorporate more of that into your working day? Remind yourself of the other positive aspects of your work – your friends and colleagues, for instance.

Challenge Yourself
Find new challenges. One of the reasons that we can get restless in our job is, quite simply, boredom. Think about ways in which you could make your role more interesting. Perhaps you could volunteer to mentor new staff, or spend some time every week shadowing people in other departments to get a broader perspective on the business? Discuss your ideas with your manager.

Flexible Working
Is there scope for you to work more flexibly? Working from home one day a week, for example, could give you more variety. This is not an excuse to get up late and lie around watching daytime TV, though – you’ll need to be able to show some output for your time away from the office! Again, discuss the options with your manager.

Learn More
If you feel you’re not being stimulated enough mentally, consider doing some training or a course that is work-related: it will give you new insights, help to keep you fresh, and will be a useful addition to your CV when you are ready to move on.

Network
Network more. If meeting new people is not already part of your role, find ways to incorporate it. Meeting people and getting fresh perspectives can help you to keep yourself interested and interesting. If there don’t seem to be many networking opportunities where you are, create some! Organize a team outing, or arrange for you and your colleagues to meet up with staff from another part of the company.

Have Some Fun
Inject a bit of fun into your workplace. That could be as simple as croissants on a Monday morning or a team drink on Friday afternoon. Or it could be a more structured social event. Your work colleagues don’t have to be your bosom buddies, but you’ll enjoy your working day much more if there’s a bit of banter and humour around. Just because your work is a serious business doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while you do it!

Improve Your Social Life
Make an effort to do more interesting things outside of work. If your working week consists of getting up in the morning, going to work, coming home, having dinner, slumping in front of the TV and then going to bed, your job is going to have a disproportionate impact on your overall mood. Try to fit a couple of social engagements into your week – a dancing class or an art exhibition, perhaps, or just a catch-up with friends you haven’t seen for a while. Having something to look forward to during the week will help to make it more bearable.

Prioritise Your Workload
If you find that your problem is you’re working such long hours that you don’t have time to have fun outside work, let alone in the office, you need to tackle this. Get used to prioritizing your workload – negotiate extensions to deadlines if necessary – and make yourself leave the office on time at least 3 nights a week. Most of us have periods when we’re extra-busy and end up working long hours, but if this is happening to you routinely, you need to get out of that rut.

Mind Management

Mind Management is what happens when
YOU learn how to THINK and use your mind to control thoughts
,
and control the events in your life.
So why will Mind Management improve your life?

The thoughts we choose to accept into our conscious mind are what trigger our
emotions and feelings which then trigger our physical actions that our bodies
carry out on command.

What we do in action today gets us the results we have tomorrow.

So if you are unhappy with any results that you have in your life
then you may want to get back to the basics and start to
look at the way you are thinking.

Studying one's thought process and making these changes is not easy. We are programmed at
a very young age to think in a very patterned way. These patterns are based
on our beliefs and things that we were taught to put our faith in.

So to really control your thoughts you need to embrace a journey of personal development.

If this is something you need in your life please send us an email and sign up for a
one-on-one FREE consultation.

We have a variety of ways we can work with you from personal
one-on-one consultations to group sessions and also self-help audio programs.

Don't wait till tomorrow to fix that uneasy feeling you have today.

The goal of life is to live it to the fullest today.

Rain Rain Come Again.....

HI all,

I am really sorry that i was not able to update my blog from a long time. I was busy travelling everywhere hence was unable to post any new article. Well i am in nagpur now and no one
will belive that the temperature here is very high, but fortunately it rained today and now the weather is cool.
Everyone was soo happy that finally rain is showing
some mercy on every Nagpurian and
helping them out to beat the heat. I was out in my gallery, enjoying hot cup of Chai in this rain and i was very happy to see small cute kids playing and dancing in the rain. It was so exciting that at a moment i felt like going and enjoying with them. I took out
my camera and clicked few snaps. see how they are enjoying and playing in water.

I think these kinds must be saying in their minds that Rain Rain Come Again. Well that's all for now, i will be back with more useful tips and tricks for self development. TAKE CARE...

10 tips to improve the way you speak English

Hi Friends,

Lots of people have mailed me asking tip on how to improve spoken english skill. well anyone can speak effective and fluent english.Try following these few tips and i am sure that you will improve.

i. Observe the mouth movements of those who speak English well and try to imitate them.

When you are watching television, observe the mouth movements of the speakers. Repeat what they are saying, while imitating the intonation and rhythm of their speech.

ii. Until you learn the correct intonation and rhythm of English, slow your speech down.

If you speak too quickly, and with the wrong intonation and rhythm, native speakers will have a hard time understanding you.

Don't worry about your listener getting impatient with your slow speech -- it is more important that everything you say be understood.

iii. Listen to the 'music' of English.

Do not use the 'music' of your native language when you speak English. Each language has its own way of 'singing'.

iv. Use the dictionary.

Try and familiarise yourself with the phonetic symbols of your dictionary. Look up the correct pronunciation of words that are hard for you to say.

v. Make a list of frequently used words that you find difficult to pronounce and ask someone who speaks the language well to pronounce them for you.

Record these words, listen to them and practice saying them. Listen and read at the same time.

vi. Buy books on tape.

Record yourself reading some sections of the book. Compare the sound of your English with that of the person reading the book on the tape.

vii. Pronounce the ending of each word.

Pay special attention to 'S' and 'ED' endings. This will help you strengthen the mouth muscles that you use when you speak English.

viii. Read aloud in English for 15-20 minutes every day.

Research has shown it takes about three months of daily practice to develop strong mouth muscles for speaking a new language.

ix. Record your own voice and listen for pronunciation mistakes.

Many people hate to hear the sound of their voice and avoid listening to themselves speak. However, this is a very important exercise because doing it will help you become conscious of the mistakes you are making.

x. Be patient.

You can change the way you speak but it won't happen overnight. People often expect instant results and give up too soon. You can change the way you sound if you are willing to put some effort into it.

Quick tips

Various versions of the English language exist. Begin by identifying the category you fall into and start by improving the clarity of your speech.

~ Focus on removing the mother tongue influence and the 'Indianisms' that creep into your English conversations.

~ Watch the English news on television channels like Star World, CNN, BBC and English movies on Star Movies and HBO.

~ Listen to and sing English songs. I'd recommend Westlife, Robbie Williams, Abba, Skeeter Davis and Connie Francis among others.

Books to help you improve your English

What Every Manager Should Learn From Sales

Hi friends,

Here are 5 tips which every manager must learn from sales.

1) Shut up and listen:- Nothing you’ve ever read or learned is nearly as important as what the person across from you is about to say … if you just shut up and listen. When you talk first, you lock yourself into a position or path. But if you listen, you gain far more information.

2) Problems create opportunities:- Your biggest and best opportunities to make a difference will always be when things go wrong. How you respond in time of crisis, when somebody needs you, is a window into your true capability. And that spells opportunity if you rise to the occasion.

3) It’s all about relationships:- There are no companies or businesses, just people. Business is all about individuals and their interrelationships. When things go wrong, that’s the glue that holds everything together. There’s no such thing as a self-sustaining business.

4) Your customer always does come first:- Call it business Karma, but whatever you have going on, whatever you expect to accomplish on any given day, when somebody, anybody comes to you with a problem, help them first. Remember: you have way more customers than you think.

5) Understand motives:- When you think about what you’re going to say or do, you miss an opportunity to make a difference. If, on the other hand, you ask,“how can I help you,” or ask yourself “what’s in it for her,” you’ll be in a far better position to help … and recognize opportunities.

Last Word:-
The beauty of selling is that you learn under fire, which naturally accelerates the learning process. There truly is no better way to learn how business really works.
